The Bush Recession (Depression?)

This post on the Huffington Post has me thinking about the current economic crisis and how dangerous it is on many levels (including politically.)

It’s important to remember that this economonic down turn has absolutely nothing to do with our current President and everything to do with the inept Bush administration. It’s so important because we all know that the GOP/Fox News political machine is going to try to spin these issues as somehow being Barack Obama’s fault in 2010 (for the midterm elections.)

Remember that it took Franklin D. Roosevelt some time to fix The Great Depression in the 1930s and it will take some time for President Obama to clean up the mess that Bush/Cheney left behind.

Times are going to be tough for quite some time. In fact it’s likely that things are going to get much much worse. Bush’s Recession will likely turn into Bush’s Depression. We have to think about this logically and rationally because people often become irrational when faced with such problems.

Don’t let the right wing politicians and news media distort the reality of the situation. We all know why we are in these tough economic times. Our country was ran by a buffoon named George W. Bush for eight long years (Januray 2001 through January 2009) and it takes a long time to fix the kind of huge mess he left behind.

  1. Dear Admin,

As you are correct that much of we are experiencing today in the economic sector is due to bush’s “buffoon”ish actions, the truth is Obama is continuing the wasteful spending and creating new positions at the federal government level instead of cutting them and many other jobs as any other “spotlighted” candidate of last year. Money of this magnitude would have been the path of the bush administration if he were still in office and the same of John McCain. And I’m a republican. It doesn’t matter if the media is going to bash him for his misjudgment, its all going according to plan…. The destruction of our currency. So those who are in power may have there fun then throw us (We The People) to curb.

  2. Concerned Citizen - I’m a bit late responding to this but more and more I think your POV is just flat out wrong. I understand where you are coming from… But my study of the Great Depression and how FDR responded to it leads me to thinking that Obama is actually right on target with his current approach.

  3. Sadly enough, the U.S.A. as we know it may not survive it’s own outlandish behavior over the past few years. As early back as the Clinton years, restraints were untethered, Bush did even more damage, and the New York shysters, shylocks, swindlers and Banksters finished the job! The world no longer trusts the U.S.A. and now the truth of the Iraq invasion and the lack of weapons of “Mass Destruction” is public, a large part of the world holds the U.S. in fearful contempt for its motives abroad. China leads the world now, with more post graduate students with IQ’s of 130+ than the U.S. has high school students, drop outs included, and more English speaking people than the U.S.! The world’s hopes no longer lie with an American recovery, they attach their future hopes on a “Strong” China! O’bama is more of a caretaker closing down the house than a show master on opening night as evening falls over one more Empire. China, financially backed by large American investment will become the new Auto Giant to the world soon too. SEE:
“The astounding Chinese have epoched the great GM, of U.S.A. in producing an Electric/gas/plug-in car! They are driving them in the streets of China as we speak, they will be retailed in the U.S.A. by 2011, they will cost half the price of a “Volt” and they are “On Order” for Israel! GM, take a deep breath, your naughty parts have just been cut off by a Chinese high-tech competitor, and the “Volt” is still “Vapor-ware”!” See:http://www.cleantech.com/news/3983/chinas-byd-sells-first-mass-produced-plug-cars

As American manufacturing prowess is transferred off-shore, leaving old worn out factories, workforce, ideologies, and pollution behind. The curtain is closing before our very eyes!
