Lower Taxes Under A President Obama

There’s a misconception that a Republican President (John McCain) will bring lower taxes while a Democrat (Barack Obama) will bring higher taxes. This is untrue unless you are wealthy.

For most Americans, taxes will actually be lower under President Obama. The numbers work out like this: Every American who makes less than $112,000/year will be taxed less by Obama. Everyone who makes more than $112,000/year will be taxed less by McCain.

According to the IRS, 89% of Americans report less than $100,000 in adjusted gross income which means about 9 in 10 Americans will have lower taxes under a President Obama than with a President McCain.
