The markets had a huge day today in response to US Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner’s new proposal on bad bank assets as both the Dow and the NASDAQ went up 6.8%.
My stocks all went up today as well. In fact, even my slowest mover (LJPC) went up 4.8%, while my biggest mover (C) went up 19.5%.
The stocks I highlighted on March 12th have all done since then:
C went from 1.67 to 3.13 - an increase of 87%
GM went from 2.18 to 3.35 - an increase of 54%
F went from 2.10 to 2.90 - an increase of 38%
NSANY went from 6.89 to 8.02 - an increase of 14%
BAC went from 5.85 to 7.80 - an increase of 33%
STP went from 6.82 to 7.96 - an increase of 17%
YHOO went from 13.60 to 14.12 - an increase of 4%
JAVA went from 4.67 to 7.94 - an increase of 70%
DELL went from 9.44 to 10.45 - an increase of 11%
Obviously there’s been some huge opportunities for profit over the last couple of weeks. Will there be more big profits in the next couple of weeks? I hope so, but of course there are no guarantees in the stock market!
