Bought CTIC @ $1.30

First I want to mention that this is not a play from my usual screener method, this is more based on the news of their earnings and … my “gut” so in other words if this fails it’s not my system’s fault. It’s my fault for being trigger happy and buying a stock that has already gone through the roof the past three days. And really, I’m quite irritated that I didn’t get back into this earlier (when it was around 30 cents.) Or even if I had just held onto my initial buy (back when I bought it for 12 cents in March.)

None of these things are a good reason to buy a stock. In fact I think I’ve just talked myself out of it, perhaps I should try to unload this thing right now?

But my position is quite small (300 shares) so it’s not that big of a risk. I have so little confidence in this pick that I’m not even going to Twitter it.

I can’t move in on anything substantially today because my Ameritrade account has still not settled my trade from yesterday. This wait that Ameritrade puts me through every time I sell a stock is becoming extremely irritating.

One thing I’ve really liked about SogoTrade so far as that they give you access to your money immediately after the trade (or at least they did on the one sale I’ve made with them so far.) But SogoTrade does have two big down sides: No pre or after market trading and the fees are really high for stocks under $1 (which I like to play.) It also doesn’t have options - I don’t trade options as of yet but I’m interested in getting into them in the future.

  1. How stupid am I? I knowingly made a bad trade with this one. Just flat out knew it was a dumb trade and I paid for it. I sold this at $1.08 for a 17% loss. Very good shot it’ll recover… but also a decent chance it could drop farther. Hell it was already under $1 earlier. Just a dumb dumb trade. This is what has happened every time I go off script and make a play like this. I have to stick to my system.
